Travel grant opportunity

Coalition to Cure Calpain 3 will award Travel Grants to foster early career investigators who are currently conducting research in the areas of calpainopathies (LGMD2A/R1 and LGMDD4). The grants support travel expenses to attend relevant conferences and meetings to present the investigator’s work.

Grants of the Fredreich's Ataxia Research Alliance 

The FARA Grant Program is a competitive funding mechanism that supports research in Friedreich’s ataxia (FA) including basic research, preclinical drug development, and clinical research. The FARA Grant Program aims to advance therapeutic development for FA by supporting established FA researchers, recruiting new investigators to the field, and building the next generation of FA scientists.

Grant opportunities

Post Doc Mobility: The fellowships are aimed at researchers with a doctorate and at researchers who will complete their doctorate within nine months after the submission deadline. Researchers with a medical degree that includes a doctorate are also eligible to apply. The fellowships are generally awarded for 24 months, but never for less than 12 months. Recipients of an ongoing Postdoc.Mobility fellowship may apply for a return grant of 3 to 12 months. Deadline: 3 February 2026, 17:00

Starting grants: The SNSF Starting Grants 2026 call is aimed at researchers interested in leading their own research project and team in Switzerland. These grants represent the SNSF's highest level of career funding. Deadline: 5 May 2026, 17:00; online event: 19 Febraury 2026


ENMC workshops, application open

ENMC organises and finances workshops on application basis. Topics of the workshops vary from outcome measures, clinical trial readiness and preclinical studies, to diagnosis and care for all neuromuscular diseases.

New directions in Biology and Disease of Skeletal Muscle Conference
