Call for research grants on Polymyalgia rheumatica

The Swiss Foundation for Research on Muscle Diseases launches a special research program on

Polymyalgia rheumatica

The aim of the special research program is to support basic, translational and clinical research projects related to the pathology and treatment of Polymyalgia rheumatica in Swiss Institutions, including projects aiming at improving diagnosis of this disease or at setting up of international registries.

A Letter of intent (max. 1 page) is required by June 30th, 2018 (address see below)

Full applications will be evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Board and by external reviewers. In November, the Board of Trustees will select the best applications based on the quality of the project and the available funding. Grant applicants will be informed in December of each year.

Full applications should include:

  • Scientific and lay abstract
  • Budget requested (salaries according to SNF norms, no supply money)
  • List of other supports
  • Biographical sketch
  • Specific goals of the project and detailed research plan (not more than 5 pages)

Please note that overhead costs are not covered by the grants.
